Our story so far…

IOTezy is a subsidiary brand of Metropolitan Wireless International, born from a challenge posed by our founder – Malcolm Ong: Can we become the Netflix of the IOT industry by improving lives with tech?

As the owner of both an IT firm and a fish farming business, Malcolm strives to improve operations through technology. The key challenges were (1) unpredictable algae blooms in Singapore’s sea waters, causing fish deaths, and (2) unexpected equipment failures, which affected cold storage food products.

Our first IoT solution was deployed for our sister company, where the team integrated sensors from trusted manufacturers with a software platform to monitor dissolved oxygen, storage temperature, and power, aiming to alert users about algae blooms and equipment failures.

The solution proved to be a success, providing users with peace of mind and significantly improving response times to incidents—ultimately saving us millions of dollars. Companies with similar cold chain operations recognized the value of our solution and began reaching out to us to adopt it.

As we expanded into new industries such as healthcare and biotech with our original platform, ThermoCare, one key insight became clear: compliance, safety, and efficiency are deeply interconnected. Users appreciated the simplicity of our solution in ensuring regulatory compliance and protecting their assets.

As a result, we rebranded the platform to IOTezy, with the goal of making compliance and monitoring as easy as possible for everyday users.
